How It Is! - Not How It Might Be!

Words almost fail me. But I am managing to let a few escape now –with a warning- not necessarily coherently. Here are my ruminations on this moving, miraculous, and momentous event of the millennium.

In the year Barack Obama was elected I felt a cataclysmic shift in the atmosphere. It was electrifying! People were just in such a great mood at the polling stations. It was already felt that there a major change coming. People meeting and talking with people they don’t usually talk to, getting out of bed earlier than usual to be part of history. Believe it.

Some say the Messiah, some say Elijah, some say Moses…. Who do you say he is? Let us remember President Elect Obama is a mere mortal like the rest of us. He is a chosen vessel for this hour. Chosen to lead this great nation – one nation under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all. He is flawed like the rest of us and will make mistakes and probably won’t be able to fix this mess in four years.

He is a bridge builder- looking to heal the moral and spiritual sickness in this country, looking to mend the broken parts of the economy.

He is a man of faith and conviction – how else do you explain the tightly organized campaign he has run. The pundits are still trying to find the mistakes that we made, and so far…..nothing.

He is an overcomer – after the mudslinging of Wright and Ayers, he still emerged a victor.

This is prophesy being fulfilled. Brothers and sisters don’t miss this. This is the beginning. If my people who are called by my name (oh, Barack means blessed) will humble themselves and pray I will heal the land. This is a beginning of exceedingly, abundantly above all we can ask, think or desire.

Let us remain humble and always, without ceasing, wherever we are be in prayer for this leader, his family, cabinet and each other. We all have a mandate. Go into the world… The window of opportunity has opened and what a view it provides. Look! See! The fields are ripe with harvest. Let us arise and go while the spirit of the Lord is upon us because he has anointed us.

Be clear, organized and focused. The forces of darkness are ALWAYS at work to put out the light, especially when they sense that their days are numbered – which they are-. It may get ugly BUT the weapons of our warfare are mighty for the pulling down of strongholds. WE HAVE A MANDATE! CHANGE THE WORLD SO THAT NO ONE SHOULD PERISH.
